A Decade On 56 Project with 59 Partners Reaching 1.6 Million Papua New Guineans

The booklet Promoting Gender Equality in Papua New Guinea – Highlights 2012-2022 features the impacts and achievements across the four outcome areas: Women’s Leadership and Influence; Women’s Economic Empowerment; Violence Prevention and Response and Enhanced Knowledge and Understanding. Pacific Women was one of the largest global commitments to gender equality. Since its beginning in 2012, supported under the PNG-Australia Partnership, the program reached an estimated 1.6 million Papua New Guinean women, men, girls and boys through its 59 partners and 56 projects. Papua New Guinean women, men and children across 20 of the 22 provinces and regions, have been able to access services and information promoting safer and more equal lives for all.
